Well today i went out fishing with KO25 in the afternoon at Area 51. we were supposed to have a casting session today but hehe i kinda miss using live bait and yeah i was using "CHEATMODE" today. so no casting for me today.. :P Using live bait i caught 4 fish,miss 2 hookup and 1 line broke... from a 2 kg "Tarpon"... right kenny?

I decided not to release the fish because i lost my oxygen pump for keeping the fish alive..

so i bring them back home and cook it for my dinner.

Snakehunting @ Spot-W

Today i went fishing at Spot-W and experimenting on the Berley Powerbait minnow & Hinomiya Sp Frog.i used texas rig on both lures with weight on berkley & weighless on Hinomiya. From my view, these lures have a good action and attraction factor. The downside of these lures is that it can only be used once after a strike by the fish. The thing i like about these lures is that it is easy to use, rigged and the small size. i gave a rating of 8/10 for both of these lures. hehe

Teaching The Walk to Snake

Tried using another lure to hunt snakehead. Alhamdulilah i got a new lure hookup on snakehead using Echogear Pencil lure.

so far my compilation of lure test on snakehead were:

Softbody Frog lure. (scumfrog, Eupro, Frogie)

Hardbody Frog lure. (bakau cyberfrog)

Popper ( Rapala Skitter pop)

Softbait ( Berkley Powerbait)

Spinner Hardbody frog lure. (eupro superior Spinner mode)

Minnow lure. ( eupro *my 1st catch*)

Pencil Lure. ( Echogear )

Got Grub?

This morning a 200gm snakehead strike my berkley powerbait grub. Still searching for the monster which pulled my grub like hell.. and i was confident it wasn't a snakehead, maybe it was a giant Tarpon or.. i don't know. guess i have to hunt for it again.

The Silent Groupers on Gulp!

Today Kenny(http://ko25.blogspot.com/) and I decided to hunt for mangrove jack and barramundi in the forbidden area.Indeed after we arrived in the forbidden area, it appears many fish can be seen playing there.We cast our lure straight away and for several times we received alot of misses. One fish managed to tear my gulp alive into tiny bits of pieces and i suspected that it was that (ikan buntal) again..

That day i only managed to land 2 size of small grouper, Kenny Managed to land also 2 fish, which is a Crevalley Jack & a Junior Giant Trevally.
Although we didn't get our target game fish, it was still an exciting trip, we had fun catching them, taking pictures and releasing them back to the wild. I hope someday another trip like this will happen.

Back To Warzone

Today i decided to go hunting jack & barra at the place where we called warzone and in the same time im testing my new rig whether its a snagproof or not.. its been a while since i went fishing there and not even once i caught a fish there using casting method. So, today's objectives was catching Jack & testing my new rig.

I tried retrieving my lure very slowly and my lure sank to the deepest area purposely letting my lure get stuck, but yet it didn't! :D Not long after that.. very slowly retrieved my lure making it like a real fleeing injured prawn.. out of nowhere a strong strike hit my lure and pulling my drag very violently. it took me about 6 minutes to land this fish and as the jack reached near me. i grabbed my gripper and yes! an 800gm Mangrove jack landed! after taking a picture ( Thanks to Kenny for the pix. really appreciate it) and admiring the beauty. i decided to release it since i remembered mangrove jack take a long period of time to grow in size and the population of it now is getting lesser.. so i set it free. :)
