All Fish were caught on my medium heavy tackle: 15 lbs spiderwire braid main line, 20 lbs berley vanish leader line, c3000 aernos reel and an abu garcia 10-20lbs conolon rod.

and yeah we still practice catch and release :)

assalamualaikum.. today casting start at 7.30am with hanirul and thomas. first spot we cast at lorong tujuh London bridge. just got one miscall from tarpon. Around 8.30am, we moved to next location at Sg. bera. and this is the result.. hehe . enjoy

Assalamualaikum viewers and readers.

Me, izzat and ali (k2g Crew) were hunting hampala barb on saturday morning. we were using light tackles and most of us got misses from the barb. it was very frenzy that cool morning but as the sun were rising up. the barb weren't hitting anymore. so we decided to call it a day :)

my first Hampala catch on 4 lbs line. even thought it was small but it was fun! hehe

i caught 2 hampala that day but i only manage to take only 1 picture..

This afternoon i went to the Warzone, caught only one cod and 1 fish managed to dragged my cardiff like hell! even with the drag set is at its maximum, my cardiff were not able to withstand the pulling force of the fish and lastly my line broke and left me with questions.. haha i think it was a 3-4 kg grouper.. or a big jack. i don't know but sure it was a hell of a fight! i'll get you next time!

The only estuary cod i managed to catch this afternoon.. using medium tackle. mainline 10 lbs to leader 15 lbs, using berkley gulp alive!

After the casting session at warzone, i went home and change my gear and targeting some smallies. At first i was targeting talapia with Storm Grasshopper, but none of the fish were biting the lures, so i decided to change to my favorite echogear shrimp. i caught one tarpon and decided to let it go without taking picture. playing with tarpon with UL tackle was a very exiting experi

ence. You can feel it pulling it and see it flying with your mini lures. after a few cast i was hit by a strong strike and for sure i wasn't expecting anything but a decent size tarpon. but after i pull out the fish to the land. i was surprise that it was a juvenile barra! haha at last i renewed my barra licence eventhough it was a small one. hehe.

My first barra this year weighting only 100gm i guess. using a 4 lbs line (direct) and echogear shrimp lure. SUGOI!!

after taking the picture. i decided to cast again at the same spot. and with only one cast. BOOM! another barra took my lure and dragging my Cardiff Area! These barra were jumping everywhere.

after a few minutes of fight. i landed the barra and guessing it was only 300gm or less hehe.

The biggest catch of the day! Barramundi. luckily the owner hook of the echogear were penetrating solidly at its mouth. if not i wont be able to take this picture hehe.

and not to forget....

Ultra light Tackle Field test

Assalamualaikum. these 3 days i decided to try out my UL tackle in 3 locations and it proves that this tackle is most suitable in small and shallow area in addition fishes must be there hehe :) the cardiff area feels smooth when casting, retrieve speed is suitable for any condition from slow flowing water to fast moving water, and i really can't feel any vibration during retrieving! and with 4 lbs line it shoots even the smallest lures till 20ft distance like bullet! with this tackle i also can feel every hits and every bumps from the fish and structure beneth the water very2 sensitive.. but 2 of the cons this UL tackle is the knot im using... i have to be careful of tying the knot because i have lost 3 lures when casting it and now i'm trying to research a stronger knot. KO25 suggested me in using FG knot.. which i'm not really familiar with.. and its complicated to tie it haha!

the other cons of the UL tackle is when we're fishing at a windy condition, targeting spot will be very hard for it because lures and line tend to blown away by the wind. here's the latest catch with cardiff area and clarus:

Jack on Strikepro lure. ranging 100 - 150gm

the pull were very violent and i can feel every pull with the tackle!

Tadi satu strike lapas nda tau lauk apa. spinning reel ku abis kana drag. trbakang jighead berkley ku.. awesome!! haha. Pindah ku satu spot lagi nda berjauhan dari ku miss tadi, ahuh! naik ungah around 3oogm, solid hook up. makan abis Gulp alive ku.. rakus eh sungguh nya admit ani.. hehe. chau!

Assalamualaikum to all anglers, Its been a while since we update our blog and yet theres some fishing trip which we had done. Some trips weren't successful and some we manage to catch just the smallies. But what 'm going to share with you all is the trip that almost took our life away.

The plan was to fish at the KB breakwater using boat. At first everything was ok and the sea were not that rough. But as the tide were going down we just realize that our boat were drifted to the ocean and at the same time our engine were not igniting. Everyone were panic but we manage to start the engine again.. the worst part is when we are returning to the SG 2 estuary when the wave hit us and we almost sank with the boat. but alhamdullilah we didn't, only the boat sank.

So guys evethought fishing is our passion.. lifes is more precious.

Today my uncle sent me some pictures regarding their fishing trip @ muara only using prawnstar as their lure, they caught several grouper and a small gt and once again prawnstar is proven @ muara! hehe. they caught alot of fishing using it. wow congrats!! Today i decided to have test my luck on saltwa,ter fishing on the london bridge.. just hookup a small jack using skitter pop.. hehe will try it again tomorrow.. i still haven't hookup a barra for 8 months so i hope tomorrow will be the day. insya allah and on the afternoon, my hunt continues with malung, dayat and nate to hunt snakehead. we receive alot of misses that evening and i hookup a juvenile snakehead at the last minutes before we went home.

Malung --- LICENCE APPROVED! with his 1st 500 gm Hampala Barb

Assalamualaikum all,

This trip were unplanned where we were targeting snakehead at first but looking at the weather it seems to be a good time for fishing hampala.. hehe so we decided to go to the barb spot and cast there. when we reached there the water were very promising and the weather were a little bit rainy. i cast my softbait at first and got a 2 hookup, one were small and the other manage to snap my 15 lbs line! it must been huge! malung cast at another spot not far from me and all of the sudden he shouted my name and i rushed towards him and shockingly he caught a hampala barb weighting 500gm using a spinner frog?? after we took a picture i decided to change to a topwater lure and cast to malung spot. i received 4 misses there! aghhh and after i changed to rapala skitter pop i hookup a barb weighting 400 gm! yeah!! malung received 3 hits in a row that time! it was a very enjoyable fishing trip and hope there will be another time like this in future.

Assalamualaikum,

Just caught this when i was driving along the roadside of my home.. saw some movement at the pond and i was curious about it.. so without hesitating i stop my car and pulled out my fishing gear and use 'buyun' as my lure. i cast my lure near to the movement and WHAM! it took my lure. my line were drag violently and in my mind i was thinking maybe it was a real snake or kodomo dragon.. but i didnt care and continue fighting it.. and after a few minutes it stop fighting and i just drag it to me and it was a big snakehead! hehe yes! weighting around 1.5 kg. it was really fat! i guess it weight more than that but hehe this is my record so far.. alhamdulilah. after taken picture and etc i released it to another place so it will survive. :)

Assalamualaikum all, yesterday me and mr.x found another ground of fishing jack. but we haven't explore all of the area due to lack of time, food and the weather.. miss a lot of hook up from jack and they were feeding frenzy at that time! i used just one lure yesterday and yes its PRAWNSTAR again.. i just loved the color ranga and it gives me more confident because of the brackish water. As my prawnstar just reach to the deepest part of the water, just a few flick there were a slight pull and another strong pull but alas the fish got away. This happened several times.. i only managed to get only a grouper and Jack. i hope one day we will explore this area again! till next time! thanks for viewing

What a tiring day of fishing last week friday, but I'm happy and feel satisfied eventhough i fish from 7am till almost 7pm but one great thing beside caught a fish was got the chances to fish and hangout with almost full squad of KB-ians team. Where walid, Hafish, eejat, Helmi and featuring from K025 Kenny and Mr.padddle boy..were present..hehehe..

But neway, the extra credit for that day was i caught both barramundi where walid as my background of the picture...he got a strike from barra but misses.still not his luck but one day he will..cause he will never give up...Believe it or not...Strange but true..hehehehe...But neway congratz to all that caught the fish on the day for those who dont never give up and try again..as what Mr.paddleboy in his saying : - "IKAN BERENANG"..hahaha

Sunday morning, went fishing again with KO25. casting plus umpan jua lah.. kalau ikut kan plan awal plg jalan tu tapi ada problem sikit paksa delay. hahaha. kami start around 11am kali, sampai 5pm kami chau, KO25 teruskan perjuangan.. nda tau lapas tu apa durang dapat ah hehe :D

casting inda berapa mau pagi tu pasal aing begarak laju surut jadinya menahan umpan saja.. semua ampit, MJ ada berapa kah, kerapu 2 ekor oleh si malong seekor beumpan and seekor lagi casting pakai soft bait..

kerapu ulih si malong casting pakai soft bait.. yang diblakang tu biasaaa... hahaha.

then patangnya kami off to tutong , bawa helmi shopping rod lagi then off to JPMC. datang sana around 4pm and then cast until 6pm. si malung saja kana strike pakai minnow nya tapi bukan rezeki dibawanya bawah batu.. nanti lagi cuba..

ani la yang di tunggu2 oleh semua casters manu pun penghuni pondok singgahan casters haha.. kami start cast dlm pukul 5, aku(eejat) hafiz and malung,, malung start awal dulu featuring Mr.X lapas balik kraja.. lapas atu dismbung lagi oleh kami berdua aku n hafiz, tukar si Mr.X. haha

First cast oleh si apis pakai shad rap, selunsung 500gm -600gm n hit kedua oleh si malung tapi lapas, patah treble hook nya di antam oleh selunsung. ada jua 1kg o 2 kg,"nya urang la" alum lagi timbang. haha.. " nda apa long, masa mu batah lagi, nya urang dimna ada lubuk disitu ada caster nya" cuba lagi n cuba lagi jgn putus asa..

sory nda catch and release i know its less than 1kg pasal nya kami nda bawa handphone ke lubuk, "lupa n lowbatt'" so paksa bawa ke markas untuk digmbar (maklum la untuk bukti n record peribadi n ikan yang dicari2 selama cast disana) sampai di markas nyawa nyawa ikan udh dripada ia lamah baik bawa kerumah untuk hidangan sekeluarga.. haha

wahh.. lapas dua minggu kraja dan besabar kan casting didarat. liat lagi member2 dapat ikan tyme kraja dilaut. rasa kan balik kedarat rasa nya.. haha.. ani tah masa ku membelas dendam masa cuti seminggu ani.. ari ani masuk lima hari ku casting. satu pun nda naik.. baru th ani naik.. fuhh.

Aku turun se-awal pukul 9 pagi. featuring ROIS (lelaki banjingan). kami kelubuk yang selalu dapat leh member2 casting.. aku miss ikan ungah 300gm - 400gm. pakai lure SP wildeye kan naik udh leh ku. skali terlapas. .. and baby kerapu pakai SP red minnow.. catch n release

1.30pm - 4.30pm lunch break and tidur .. si rois kelaparan udh smpai kan tertidur tyme ku casting.. KESIAN... haha

5-00pm -6.45pm aku trurun lagi skali sma si rois. nda puas ati ku di lubuk monster baramundi yang member2 lain putus leader line and main line 30lbs (livebait), 15lbs(casting)..

aku casting mcm besa. soft bait ku kana hit.. first thing nda ku expect ungah o selunsung tarikkan nya mcm bulan2 saja. nda brapa melawan... and continue cast with walid til semua nyamuk nyamuk menghhsap darah kami baru kami balik.

puas hati ku.. walaupun nda bsr mana ungah ku n nda smpai sekilo. jadi tah 800gm dan nama aku tersenarai member casting kna hit..

Today i went fishing to test my new brand halco lure. manage to land 2 fish with it today. hehe and it was a good fight using 8 lbs line. receive lots of hits by using prawnstar. but the fish manage to escape from the prawnstar hook.. hmm mayb it need some modification.

next will try to test the brand new Rapala Flat rap! hope it will succeed on catching game fish!

MEMANG BARRAMUNDI O BIG UNGAH.. Kali la.. "NYA URANG LA"..HAHA Si malung nda putus asa cuba meng-cast lagi dan lagi. semua nya miss. aku bluirh bulan-bulan dan ungah junior saja. Finish at 7pm. memajal punya pasal. hmm what a day..

assalamualaikum.... sekali lagi. mengcast coop with malung. di satu lubuk bernama "banana fruit two times" ahahaha. kami start mengcast dlm pukul 4 pm lalu dan abis pukul 6.30pm. Mini FlatheaD sja blurih leh ku Yg di serang hendap last2 mnit, N miss COL tarpoon leh malunG, .Enviroment Air kurang memuaskan.. dalam perjalan balik tayar kreta malung pacah. atu la pahit manis si pemancing.. tpi alhamdullilah lpas menukar tayar smpai jua krumah pukul 9pm.. hehe.

Heres the picture of the 3 trips to the area 51.. to search the biggest of them all.. telampau basar ah ikan2 di area 51 2 ah.. kemarin kenny dah kana 1 strike pai berkley snap nya tebangkang.. and aku kan 10 x putus saja.. awal2 pakai 15 lbs.. den 25 lbs.. den last2 50 lbs! (around 25 kg of pulling force) p suma nya putus jua.. last2 yang dpt naik paling basar ytah 500gm ja ah.. hehe alum ada rezeki sul nya kmi 2..

but we wont give up.. still hunting for the Monster Lurking around AREA 51

Pagi ini aku plan sama megat (Extreme Snakehead Hunter) kn turun arah W-spot. sampai sana saja mencuba ku trus pakai halco mengharap ada talapia mo menyambar halco ku. first cast ku kana sambar p nda to ikan apa ugat ja ah. x next nya dalak menyambar hehe main2 syok jua ah. Bis tu megat pun ugat ah. den naik 2 ekor ah. aku pun naik 2 ekor time atu.. yang pasti nya bnyk brabis hits ri 2 hehe.. syok jua la. den msuk kmi g ke dlm w-spot ah bukan nda sengsara jln nya hehe sana pun cuba bnyk jua ugat nya ah. aku naik 1 ekor c megat naik 2 ekor. so total catches today 4 ah.

Hi all.. Kemarin planning kn cuba lure bru dat is Halco sorcerer mini.. brapa ka saiz nya p pling damit la yg pastinya. awal2 mencuba ku mencast di air masin, baru brapa x cast trus kana sambar uleh alu2.. naik plg udah alu2 2 telapas di darat.. hehe den lure ku 2 pun ancur trus

den mencuba g ku rah air tawar.. mencast mencari bulan2 bnr nya ah. p li8 nada jua kucah2 nya ne p nda apa la cuba saja tia x nda batah 2 kana tarik ngajut ah lure ku. meliat timbul ya trus melawan plg aeh.. dlm ati ku " merah? nda kan ungah di air tawar" so lawan punya lawan.. naik tia hehe rupanya talapia.. hehe syok jua talapia ne ah mun d cast p recommended tackle for this type of fishing is a very light tackle la mcm:
